Remember that seriously crappy “specialist” I saw back in October who just blew off my symptoms? I was pissed enough to write a letter to the head of that clinic outlining her poor care. I said that at the very least, they should refund my copay and refund my insurance for what they paid for that waste-of-my-time appointment.
At some point in mid-February, someone from that office called my cell phone FIVE TIMES in one day but never left a message. I actually called them back but of course the receptionist had no way of knowing who had called.
The next day, I got a check in the mail from that outfit for $40.00, the amount of my copay. No letter regarding my concerns, and certainly not an apology. And I seriously doubt they refunded my insurance. But I still consider it a win.
